SIREX Nop
HIGH-QUALITY ACOUSTIC ABSORPTION
Material with a surface expanding nub structure. Constructed from open-cell polyurethane foam.
SOUND ABSORPTION
Sound-absorbing materials reduce sound reflections in a fully or partially enclosed space. This reduces the sound level within this room. Of course, the sound level outside this room (e.g. a machine room) will also be lower. Sound absorption is achieved by allowing sound waves to penetrate into a porous material. The vibration energy is converted into an almost unmeasurable amount of heat. The sound absorption of acoustic materials increases with greater material thickness, especially for bass. The amount of sound that is absorbed is expressed in a so-called sound absorption coefficient.
APPLICATIONS
Rooms in which sound at higher frequencies (above 1000 Hz) must be absorbed and where there is no splashing water or oil, e.g. sound studios, booths, printer covers. In the presence of splashing liquids and/or a lot of dust in the air, we recommend the use of SIREX® ASD, made of the same foam, but with a flat structure and provided with a thin, protective PU coating.
