SIREX

SIREX is ISMT’s own brand. ISMT registered the SIREX brand name in the Benelux in 1975. Due to growing international interest, the brand name was registered worldwide in 1976, marking the beginning of a wide range of products for sports, leisure, construction and industry.

In the 1980s, we came into contact with the outdoor industry. In this sector, there was a need for insulating boards for use under sleeping bags. This need was the seed for the SIREX camping mats. The first types of SIREX swimming pool covers were also developed during this period. This solution preserves the warmth of the water, prevents pollution and reduces chlorine evaporation.

In 1996 the SIREX range was extended with floor underlays. These PE underlays, provided with a vapour retardant PE foil by flame lamination, made the laying of subfloors much easier.

The experience with SIREX thermoformed products in the mid-1990s helped us in the development of the SIREX STAR gymnastics mat. In the late 1990s, our focus was on developing a product that could prevent horizontal noise pollution between semi-detached houses (with a single base floor). The flexible-to-process SIREX hull foam became the answer.

Since the 1970s, ISMT has formed many partnerships, organised seminars and realised impressive projects.
