Protective materials in the packaging industry
At ISMT, we specialise in protective materials for the packaging industry. We focus on providing high-quality protective materials that can be used for a variety of applications. Our high-quality protective foam provides excellent product protection. Whether it is for secure packaging of tool materials or other products that need to be safely packed in a case, crate or flight case, we are happy to help. The main function of our products is to provide optimal protection during transport and movement. We ensure that your products arrive at their destination safely and undamaged.

High-quality PE foam
PE foam is a versatile material widely used in the packaging industry. The foam itself is made of polyethylene and comes in different sizes, thicknesses, densities and colours. Depending on the desired properties. The specific weight of the foam ranges from 15 kg per cubic metre to 150 kg per cubic metre, allowing for a wide range of applications. The foam can have different hardnesses, depending on how robust it needs to be to protect the contents during transport. We tailor our PE foam to suit a specific product protection. For example, tools can be packed in low-density foam protection, while heavy modules and equipment are better protected with higher-density foam. We can produce these foam interiors to size by splitting, cutting, water cutting, milling, laminating and self-adhesive.

In addition to PE foam for foam interiors, nop foam (PU foam) can be used as lid padding. The nop foam provides a soft and resilient layer that protects the contents of the packaging from impacts and shocks.

At ISMT, we also offer customised inlays and interiors for cases, crates and other packaging solutions. These inlays can be cut precisely to size and often have a self-adhesive layer to keep them firmly in place. With these custom-made inlays, we make sure your products fit perfectly and are optimally protected.

Plastazote

A well-known product from Zotefoams, Plastazote is a nitrogen-based expanded crosslinked polyethylene foam valued for its excellent properties and versatile applications. This high-quality technical foam is known for its lightness, flexibility and cushioning properties. Plastazote is available in different densities and hardnesses, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Alveobloc

Alveobloc is an innovative material from Sekisui Alveo used in various applications such as for industrial packaging, among others, where the foam must meet high quality standards. It is a physically crosslinked polyolefin foam with a unique structure of interlinked cells. This structure provides excellent protection performance such as shock absorption, thermal insulation, low water absorption and is chemically neutral.

Sustainability

Sustainability has an important role to play in the packaging industry. At ISMT, we are committed to reducing waste and reusing materials. Residual materials created during the production process are collected and processed into blocks that can be reused. Even the waste created when the blocks are processed is recycled again and used to make new base blocks. In this way, we maximise the efficiency of the production process and reduce the impact on the environment.
