Isolgomma – acoustic insulation | ISMT
ISMT uses the acoustic sound insulation materials of partner Isolgomma. Read more about the applications and benefits of this material.
Technical support
Our cooperation is not only based on the use of Isolgomma’s insulation materials. In many cases, technical support is an integrated part of the proposals ISMT sends in for a project. Isolgomma complements the proposals with technical reports, lab tests and technical data sheets, depending on what is needed. And in some cases, they provide technical training so that it provides the sales process to designers, architect or acoustic engineers.
Isolgomma
ISMT collaborates with Isolgomma, an Italian company specialising in sound insulation and vibration damping. We use this material mainly for sound attenuation in residential and commercial buildings, production facilities and infrastructure. A nice part of this insulation, is the environmentally friendly materials used for this purpose. This is because the basis of the material is recycled rubber from car tyres and washing machine sealing rings, among others. So we offer a green solution for acoustic comfort.
Collaboration
“The BAU Messe in Munich in 2009. That’s where the adventure between Isolgomma and ISMT began,” says Virgilio Cunico, sales and marketing director. “We find each other in our pursuit of a pleasant living environment for people with attention to the environment. That’s what makes our collaboration so powerful.”
Of all the projects we have done together over the past 15 years, the renovation of a building on the Herengracht in Amsterdam is memorable. “Truly a high-end project. The property had wooden floors so acoustic insulation was an important part of the project. The building structure was just not common in Italy so we had to do a lot of calculations. There was also a lot of focus on the comparison between rock wool, the usual insulation material in the Netherlands, and recycled rubber which we work with. In the end, the project was awarded to us.”
But renovation is a broad concept. So we also picked up projects together that revolved around supermarket renovations. Locations where the building above the supermarket had a residential use. All the floors were insulated so that shopping trolleys and supply carts no longer caused noise pollution.
Applications of Isolgomma
Isolgomma offers a range of applications for noise control in various environments. Some common applications include:
Floor insulation
Isolgomma products are often used to reduce sound transmission between floors, reducing noise pollution from upstairs and below. At ISMT, you can get acoustic floorinsulation to reduce noise pollution.
Wall insulation
Isolgomma materials can be used in wall constructions to reduce sound transmission between adjacent rooms, improving privacy and minimising sound leaks. Acoustic wall insulation helps where noise pollution is a common problem.
Ceiling insulation
Using Isolgomma products on the ceiling can reduce noise transmission from floors above, creating a quieter and more comfortable environment.
Technical insulation
Isolgomma provides solutions for technical applications, such as insulating machinery, HVAC systems and pipelines to reduce noise in industrial and commercial environments. Disturbing vibrations from heat pumps in homes can also be insulated with Isolgomma’s products.
Anti vibration
Machines used in heavier industries emit vibrations. These vibrations can compromise the structure of the building, cause annoying thumping noise, but can also cause the parts inside the machine itself to wear out faster. Our anti-vibration mats captures the vibration from the machine, keeps the machine running stably and also protects it from wear and tear.
