Sleeping mats and protective applications for the Defence sector
Applications
Our products have a wide range of applications and fit seamlessly into the daily practice of the defence sector. For example, we produce sleeping mats that are available in both flat and roll-up versions, fitted with elastic bands or cords and, if desired, with laser engraving. We also supply seat cushions and protection for knees and elbows, which contribute to greater comfort during long missions. For logistical processes, we develop inlays for flight cases and backpack components, as well as protective pads and parts that prevent damage during transport and storage. In addition, we produce components for ballistic vests, with safety and reliability always being our top priority.
ISMT develops sustainable and robust solutions that combine comfort and protection for the Armed Forces and humanitarian organisations. Thanks to our high-quality SIREX® PE foam, we offer customised solutions that meet the strict requirements of the defence industry.
Technology and innovation
The basis for all these applications is closed-cell SIREX® PE foam. This material is odourless, chemically inert and resistant to extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C. It is lightweight yet strong and wear-resistant, making it suitable for both personal protection and logistics solutions.
For added efficiency, products can be laser engraved so that parts are easily traceable. Customised packaging is also used to simplify transport and storage.
A key advantage is that production takes place entirely in the Netherlands, enabling us to supply products with an EU certificate of origin. This is essential for tenders within the European defence industry. In addition to standard solutions, we also develop variants specifically tailored to special circumstances, such as mountain expeditions or special missions.
Sustainability
At ISMT, sustainability is key. By manufacturing in the Netherlands, we shorten the supply chain and reduce CO₂ emissions. Foam waste material is carefully reused, and we use circular raw materials wherever possible. We also work with social workshops, enabling us to make a social contribution as well as a sustainable one. The result is a product that is not only practical and reliable, but also future-proof.
